Liberan a presos políticos en Guinea tras golpe de Estado
La junta militar que gobierna actualmente Guinea puso en libertad a decenas de presos políticos encarcelados por el anterior gobierno civil, buscando así ganar el favor del sector opositor al depuesto presidente, Alpha Condé.
Los más de 70 liberados por los militares habían sido detenidos por varios cargos, entre ellos la violación de la seguridad, destrucción de propiedad pública y la fabricación de armas.
Muchos de estos presos políticos son pertenecientes al antiguo partido político «unión de fuerzas democráticas de guinea», opositor al gobierno de Condé.
Todos los liberados fueron invitados a un mitin político a realizarse este próximo sábado en la ciudad capital de Conakri.
La liberación de estas personas fue bien recibida por los guineanos que se habían manifestado en contra de la postulación de Condé para una tercera reelección el año pasado.
La oposición guineana expresó que trabajará con la junta militar, sin embargo, exhortó al nuevo gobierno a restaurar rápidamente el estado de derecho en el país.
El gesto de la junta militar se produce en medio de la presión internacional para liberar al mandatario Condé y restaurar el gobierno civil.
