China quiere recuperar su avión espía derribado, diciendo que ‘no pertenece a los EE. UU.’
La República Popular China está solicitando la devolución de su avión de vigilancia después de que el globo fuera derribado sobre el territorio continental de Estados Unidos el sábado.
El portavoz del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de China, Mao Ning, respondió preguntas el martes sobre el incidente, que dominó los ciclos de noticias y llamó la atención de los políticos estadounidenses.
Cuando se le pidió información adicional sobre el propósito del globo espía y los informes de aeronaves similares que realizan rutas a través del espacio aéreo de América del Norte y América del Sur , Mao se negó.
«La parte china ha brindado información sobre la aeronave no tripulada en varias ocasiones. No tengo nada que agregar en este momento», afirmó.
El Pentágono dijo que «actuó de inmediato para protegerse contra la recopilación de información confidencial» de la plataforma de espionaje. Pero los expertos geopolíticos dijeron que hay pocas razones para creer que esos esfuerzos fueron exitosos ya que el globo casi seguramente transfirió datos de vigilancia a China mientras volaba sobre varias bases militares.
Cuando se le preguntó si China ha solicitado que se devuelvan los restos del avión destruido , Mao dijo el martes: «La aeronave no pertenece a Estados Unidos, pertenece a China».
Mao reiteró en su conferencia de prensa del martes la afirmación del Partido Comunista Chino de que el globo era de naturaleza civil y criticó al gobierno de Estados Unidos por no actuar de «manera tranquila y profesional».
«La aeronave china no tripulada es de naturaleza civil. Su entrada no intencionada en el espacio aéreo de EE. UU. es completamente inesperada y causada por fuerza mayor. No representaba ninguna amenaza para ninguna persona ni para la seguridad nacional de EE. UU. EE. UU. debería haber manejado adecuadamente tal incidentes de una manera tranquila y profesional que no implica el uso de la fuerza, pero decidieron hacer lo contrario, lo que es una clara reacción exagerada».
El Pentágono dijo el sábado que tres globos espías similares de China sobrevolaron EE. UU. durante la administración Trump, una afirmación cuestionada por el exsecretario de Defensa Mark Esper y el exsecretario de Estado Mike Pompeo.
Un alto funcionario de la administración le dijo a Fox News que la existencia de globos espía chinos sobre territorio estadounidense durante la administración Trump no se descubrió hasta que la administración Biden asumió el control.
