China afirma que impedirá la independencia de Taiwán pero buscará «lazos pacíficos»
Durante la apertura de la reunión anual del parlamento de China, el primer ministro Li Keqiang dijo que defiende el principio de «una sola China», que establece que Taiwán es parte del gigante asiático.
El primer ministro chino, Li Keqiang, declaró que su país disuadirá decididamente cualquier actividad separatista que busque la independencia de Taiwán, pero está comprometido a promover el crecimiento pacífico de las relaciones a través del Estrecho de Taiwán y la «reunificación» de China.
Pekín, que reclama al Taiwán democrático como su propio territorio, ha aumentado su actividad militar cerca de la isla en los últimos meses, respondiendo a lo que llama «colusión» entre Taipei y Washington, el principal patrocinador y proveedor de armas internacional de Taiwán.
Al hablar en la apertura de la reunión anual del parlamento de China, Li dijo que defiende el principio de «una sola China», que establece que Taiwán es parte del gigante asiático.
«Nos mantendremos muy atentos y disuadiremos resueltamente cualquier actividad separatista que busque la independencia de Taiwán», agregó Li.
Asimismo enfatizó que «promoveremos los intercambios, la cooperación y el desarrollo integrado en todo el Estrecho de Taiwán. Juntos podemos dar forma a un futuro brillante de rejuvenecimiento para nuestra gran nación”.
La mayoría de los taiwaneses no han mostrado interés en ser gobernados por la autocrática China y también han apoyado enérgicamente las protestas contra el gobierno en el Hong Kong dirigido por el Partido Comunista Chino.
