El refugio de animales de Cape Coral se prepara para ‘PJ’s and Paws’
Es ese momento nuevamente este año donde el Refugio de Animales de Cape Coral lleva a cabo su evento PJ’s and Paws.
Donde tienen la oportunidad de exhibir algunos de estos animales y recaudar dinero para el refugio.
«Bueno, surgió por necesidad el año pasado debido a COVID», dijo la directora ejecutiva Liz McCauley. «No pudimos tener nuestra Gala que normalmente tenemos con un par de 100 personas. Entonces decidimos, cómo vamos a recaudar dinero y aún así poder distanciarnos socialmente. Decidimos tener una fiesta de pijamas aquí en el refugio . Lo que resultó fantástico. Participaron 15 personas el año pasado. Les pedimos a todos que recaudaran dinero, y lo hicieron. Nos lo pasamos genial».
Esta recaudación de fondos ayuda al refugio a cuidar de estos animales, especialmente durante la pandemia.
«Cada dólar que recaudamos se destina directamente al cuidado de estos animales», dijo McCauley. «Ya hemos ahorrado más de 2100. Ni siquiera llevamos dos años abiertos y seguimos haciéndolo. Gracias al apoyo de la comunidad y al dinero que hemos podido recaudar».
