Las organizaciones benéficas para juveniles en riesgo del suroeste de Florida reciben millones en subvenciones
La Fundación de Caridad Bobby Nichols-Fiddlesticks presentó $ 1.7 millones en subvenciones a seis organizaciones benéficas designadas que atienden a niños maltratados y en riesgo en el suroeste de Florida.
Los 21 torneos anuales de la Copa Nichols y la gala de subastas proporcionaron esfuerzos de recaudación de fondos para organizaciones benéficas como Centro de defensa infantil del suroeste de Florida, Asesoramiento y tratamiento de abuso, Bendiciones en una mochila, y Liberty Youth Ranch.
La Fundación también anunció su decisión de agregar Centro de ritmo para niñas, Lee y Caridades Católicas, Diócesis de Venecia como beneficiarios continuos de su evento anual de la Copa Nichols.
Desde su inicio hace 21 años, los torneos de golf y tenis de la Copa Nichols y la gala de subastas han recaudado más de $ 17 millones para beneficiar a organizaciones benéficas locales.
El Centro de Defensa de los Niños del Suroeste de Florida ( CAC ) recibió un total de $ 589,000.
CAC proporciona una respuesta coordinada a los niños víctimas de abuso y negligencia y mejora la vida de los niños en riesgo y sus familias a través de los servicios de prevención.
La organización recibió una subvención $ 89,000 designada para su nuevo programa que brinda educación, conciencia y capacitación para prevenir el abuso y la negligencia infantil.
También se otorgó asesoramiento y tratamiento de abuso ( ACT ) $ 589,000. La organización atiende a víctimas de violencia doméstica y a sus hijos y sobrevivientes de agresión sexual en los condados de Lee, Hendry y Glades.
Desde agosto pasado, ACT ha proporcionado psicoeducación y terapia individual a niños en riesgo y maltratados en toda la región.
La Fundación otorgó una subvención $ 179,000 para apoyar las bendiciones en una mochila.
La organización sin fines de lucro proporciona a más de mil niños desatendidos mochilas llenas de alimentos aptos para niños y listos para comer para llevar a casa todos los fines de semana durante el año escolar.
Liberty Youth Ranch también recibió una subvención $ 160,000. El hogar del grupo residencial para niños a largo plazo sirve a niños maltratados, abandonados, descuidados y sin hogar.
