Reportan casos de COVID-19 en el Condado Charlotte County
Casi 1,000 estudiantes del condado de Charlotte están aprendiendo de los dormitorios. El distrito dice que 400 estudiantes informaron síntomas. Entonces, les pidieron a sus hermanos que se quedaran en casa también para mantener a todos a salvo.
El portavoz Michael Riley dice que han tenido 6 casos positivos, pero se les ha pedido a 920 estudiantes que se queden en casa.

El condado de Charlotte no es el único distrito en el suroeste de Florida que mantiene a los estudiantes en casa debido al COVID-19.
Las escuelas del condado de Lee han informado casos positivos en más de 20 escuelas, incluido el centro de transporte donde tienen los autobuses escolares.
Un empleado de Clewiston High School dio positivo por COVID-19 y otros dos tuvieron que ponerse en cuarentena. Las Escuelas Públicas del Condado de Collier informan que 29 estudiantes dieron positivo y 11 casos positivos entre los empleados hasta el momento.
50 de los 900 estudiantes del condado de Charlotte que aprenden desde casa asisten a la preparatoria Lemon Bay. Algunos de esos casos confirmados de COVID-19 se informaron en la escuela secundaria Murdock, la universidad técnica de Charlotte y la escuela secundaria Port Charlotte.
Si bien los estudiantes y hermanos confinados en casa representan solo alrededor del seis por ciento de los estudiantes en todo el distrito, Riley dice que todavía están trabajando para reducir ese número.
