Los candidatos a alcalde de Fort Myers discuten el futuro de la cuenca de yates
La carrera por la alcaldía de Fort Myers parecía estar pasando directamente por la cuenca de los yates a medida que nos acercamos a las elecciones generales del 8 de noviembre.
El viernes, había pasado casi un mes desde que los residentes fueron expulsados de sus casas junto al agua en Fort Myers Yacht Basin.
“Ya tenemos un problema de personas sin hogar”, dijo David Ruffin.
Ruffin, quien se postula para alcalde, dijo que no está de acuerdo con la decisión de expulsar a los residentes.
“Lo abordamos al ubicar a estas personas en viviendas hasta que podamos avanzar con un plan para arreglar el Fort Myers Yacht Basin”, dijo Ruffin.
El alcalde actual, Kevin Anderson, que busca ser reelegido, habló conmigo sobre las ideas de su oponente.
