Las pequeñas empresas luchan antes del Black Friday

«Hemos tenido un cambio de cliente», dijo.
Hamblen dice que a pesar del cambio en lo que están vendiendo, todavía están agradecidos de poder mantenerse al día con el cambio en las demandas de los clientes, especialmente durante esta pandemia.
«Otras pequeñas empresas han pasado por momentos mucho más difíciles», dijo.
Durante una semana en la que la tienda debería estar más concurrida, agrega que han tenido que estirar la ventana para las ventas navideñas para asegurarse de que la gente compre localmente.
«Los negocios locales son muy importantes para la comunidad. Por cien dólares que gasta en un negocio local, 68 dólares se devuelven a esa comunidad local», dijo.
Es un sentimiento compartido por el presidente de la Cámara de Comercio de North Fort Myers, John Gardner.
«Las pequeñas empresas son el corazón de Estados Unidos», dijo.
Gardner dice que las empresas están sufriendo en todas partes, pero también hay algo de esperanza. Pero eso es solo si las empresas pueden encontrar una manera de aumentar su presencia en línea, en un momento en el que la gente simplemente no sale tanto.
«Usted sabe que ahora todo el mundo vive con este pequeño dispositivo en el bolsillo, desde el correo electrónico, pasando por los menús, hasta pedir lo que sea que se envíe cuando sea», dijo Gardner.
Pero también dice que la carga recae sobre todos nosotros, presentarnos a esas empresas cuando más nos necesitan.
«Si no apoya a su pequeña empresa local, ¿adivinen qué? Se van», dijo.
Y según un estudio de Small Business Majority, es probable que algunas pequeñas empresas «desaparezcan», y probablemente antes de que llegue el 2021.
